
In a recent pastoral visit to the Immaculate Conception parish on Sunday March 22nd, 2025, Bishop Michael Bibi urged parishioners to always give thanks to God, repent, and strive to be better Christians following their encounters with Christ. This visit provided a platform for the Bishop to pray with the congregation and inspire them in their spiritual journey.

Drawing from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Bishop emphasized that Jesus is present in the Word, the Eucharist, the Minister, and the congregation. He encouraged the faithful to engage in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving during the Lenten season, while also reminding them to remain hopeful in God despite life’s challenges and to resist temptations.

The Bishop expressed gratitude for the community’s support towards the 75th anniversary projects, and invited everyone to participate in the festivities scheduled for May 7, 2025.
Rev. Fr. Emile, the parish priest, welcomed the Bishop, praising his presence as a source of joy and hope. He acknowledged the efforts of the Local Ordinary in enhancing the spiritual and infrastructural landscape of the Diocese and thanked the parishioners for their sacrifices that made the visit memorable.

During the event, the parish pastoral council chair shared insights on their spiritual growth while highlighting challenges faced by the mission station, particularly the need for land by St Catherine mission station and the unavailability of water, which could lead to further issues within the parish. The Bishop assured faithful of his support to ensure that a Borehole is realized in the parish .
