“You must recognize the sacrifices made by your parents in molding you to become better children.” On Sunday, June 29th, 2025, the Bishop of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, paid a pastoral visit to the Saints Peter and Paul University Parish, during which he prayed with the congregation and encouraged them to emulate the lives of Saints Peter and Paul. He emphasized the importance for students to show gratitude to their parents and lecturers. This visit coincided with the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the patron saints of the parish.

Referring to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC, pg. 50), Bishop Bibi challenged parishioners to seek to know God through prayer and divine revelation. He urged the congregation to embody the missionary spirit of spreading the Gospel, just as their patron saints did. He encouraged them to be witnesses of Christ and to remain steadfast in proclaiming the Gospel message, regardless of any obstacles they may encounter.
During the Eucharistic celebration, 34 Christians completed their Christian initiation by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, a sacrament that brings with it the gifts of the Holy Spirit, empowering them to boldly proclaim the Gospel through their words and actions.
