Highlighting the significance of God’s Word, the bishop reminded the faithful that it serves as nourishment for the soul, encouraging them to live according to its teachings. He referenced the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 105) to stress that ignorance of the scriptures is equivalent to ignorance of Christ, underscoring the importance of engaging with the Bible.

The rededication ceremony followed extensive renovations of the church, symbolizing a new chapter for the parish. Key aspects of the ritual included blessing the altar with relics, signifying the connection with Saints, anointing the altar with Holy Chrism to invoke the Holy Spirit’s presence, and consecrating the walls to dedicate the entire space to God. The ceremony incorporated the incensing of the altar and church, representing a deep offering of prayer and worship.

A significant moment during the Eucharistic celebration was the blessing of the tabernacle, which ensures the safe keeping of the Blessed Sacrament and allows for adoration and the bringing of the Eucharist to the sick.
