Today, October 29, 2025, the Bishop of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi, visited several ongoing diocesan construction projects to obtain firsthand information on the level of progress achieved so far.

The Bishop’s first stop was at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Center, where he inspected the third building currently under construction. The new structure is expected to house both the pastoral center and a large adjoining facility that will provide apartments, studios, and single rooms for guests.

Accompanied by Mr. Ernest Chinda, the Diocesan Project Head, Bishop Bibi conducted a detailed floor-by-floor inspection, taking keen interest in the ceiling installations, tiling of the toilets, and plastering works presently ongoing.
From the center, the Bishop proceeded to the Presbytery at the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral, where finishing works are underway. The presbytery is designed to accommodate about a dozen priests.

Here again, the Bishop inspected the quality of craftsmanship, including the tiling of rooms and corridors, and offered words of encouragement to the workers on site.
The Bishop’s final visit was to the building housing the Directorate of Communication and its various arms, where he reviewed the level of progress and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all diocesan projects are completed with high standards and within schedule.
