The Bishop of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi, has undertaken a tour of key ongoing projects across the Diocese to obtain a first-hand appraisal of their progress.
Accompanied by the Diocesan Projects Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Pascal Siben, and a delegation of diocesan collaborators, the inspection took place today, June 3rd, 2025. The Bishop began his tour at the Saints Peter and Paul University Parish, located adjacent to the University of Buea, where a massive student hostel is under construction. While there, he inspected the student rooms, balconies, and common areas designated for various student activities.

The second stop was at Checkpoint, Molyko-Buea, where the Bishop visited the construction site of the new head office of Regina Pacis Microfinance, situated beside St. Charles Lwanga Parish. He thoroughly examined the office spaces, corridors, waiting rooms, and cashier areas. The prelate issued specific instructions to the construction team, including the expansion of some offices, reduction of certain corridors, and the inclusion of well-equipped toilet facilities on all floors of the two-storey building.

The final stop on the Bishop’s itinerary was the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre. There, he evaluated ongoing work on the third building of the centre and inspected another new structure intended to accommodate apartments, studio rooms, and dormitories. These facilities are being built to host young people during diocesan rallies and pastoral events.
Through these visits, Bishop Bibi reaffirmed his commitment to the growth, functionality, and pastoral effectiveness of diocesan infrastructure. His active involvement ensures that projects align with both the spiritual and social mission of the Diocese of Buea.
