The community of St Joseph Parish Tiko, have marked an end to a long experience of water crisis as they now enjoy drinkable water from a borehole project realized by the Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea Bishop Michael Bibi. During a pastoral visit to this community, the Bishop blessed this source of water asking God to make it a spring that will forever nourish the lives of the faithful and all those who benefit from it.

The pastoral visit this Sunday November 12th 2023, was a period in which the prelate communed with the Christians in thanksgiving to God for the blessings and protection on their lives. In a Eucharistic celebration, Bishop Michael Bibi called on Christians to ask God for wisdom just as king Solomon requested, to lead the people of God. Wisdom he noted does not automatically emanate from education but life experiences and also by praying to God to guide their actions to resonate with the demands of God.

He further invited Christians to prepare themselves for the hour of death at always just as the catechism of the catholic church teaches in paragraph 1014, and that no one knows the hour nor the time when God will call them to eternity. He challenged them to live in unity, ready to forgive one another in all circumstances.
Bishop Bibi lays foundation stone for new parish hall
Within the context of the pastoral visit , the prelate laid a foundation stone for the construction of a new parish hall which will in the nearest future address the issue of space to accommodate the many events taking place in this Christian community.
Bishop Bibi installs statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The prelate further blessed and installed the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the newly constructed Grotto of the Parish. This holy image serves as a reminder of the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the life of the Church as mother of Jesus and a great intercessor. It also provides a solemn ground for prayers to this community.

The Christians and their parish priests in humility and gratitude expressed heartfelt satisfaction with the works of the Chief Shepherd and assured him of their continuous support and to live in unity always. The Bishop also gave room for Christians to express their concerns and get clarity on matters that concerned them.
