The Bishop of the Diocese of Obala, His Lordship Sosthène Léopold Bayemi Matjei has called on his fellow Bishops to deepen their intimacy with God. Speaking during a Mass at the Our Lady of Grace Shrine, Sasse, today, January 6th, 2025, the Bishop reminded his peers and Christians present that God is always present in their lives and he is calling on us all to open our hearts and welcome the presence of God, which is a shining light.
‘My dear brothers, there is a necessity for us to collaborate with the actions of the Lord,’ he told the Bishops. Drawing inspiration from the Gospel of John, where he warned about the rise of many fake prophets, he urged them to never stop praying so that God can realize the great miracle of enlightening their hearts and lives and giving them the grace to deepen their intimacy with Him.

‘Let us allow the Holy Spirit to glow in our church, so that we can be many to inflame the world,’ he concluded.
