The Board of trustees of the Catholic University of Cameroon, CATUC, Bamenda, met on Tuesday August 20,2024 within the framework of the 76th Ordinary meeting of BAPEC holding in the Archdiocese of Bamenda, ahead of the new school year 2024/2025. Throwing back into the past year, reports indicated a growth in student population amidst the socio-political crisis affecting the Northwest and Southwest Regions. Bishops of the Bamenda Episcopal Conference expressed joy to see that this University continues to produce excellence in the training of students in different fields especially the students of the faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
The Bishops were equally gladdened to know that the minister of State, Minister of Higher Education Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo has opened up for the enrolment of more candidates into the medical field.
They commended the administrators of CATUC and their collaborators for staying true to their mission and for remaining focus in the training of students entrusted to their care. They encouraged faculty and staff to stay dedicated to the services they provide.
The meeting which took place in the conference room of the Archbishop’s House, also witnessed the presence of the Vice Chancellor and deputy, the Rector, the registrar, and the finance director.
