Members of the Board of Governors of Minor and Propaedeutic Seminaries of the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda have reviewed issues concerning these seminaries and charted the way forward for the beginning of the new School year.
The members, comprising Rectors and Vice Rectors of both minor and Propaedeutic Seminaries of the five dioceses in the Province, and Bishops of the Province met on August 19th, in the course of day two of the BAPEC Meeting at the Archbishop’s conference hall in Big Mankon Bamenda.
During the Session on Seminaries, reports from the Institutions; Bishop Rogan Minor Seminary Buea, St Aloysius Minor Seminary Kumbo and St. John Mary Vianney Spiritual Centre Bafut, were presented, highlighting the challenges faced especially in some dioceses where functioning is difficult due to the socio-political crisis rocking the Northwest and Southwest Regions, which make up the territorial circumscription of the Bamenda Church Province.
In the course of this meeting, it was also encouraged that parents give their children the opportunity to continue with their vocation and that holistic formation in both the minor and major seminaries remains priority.
