The annual meeting of the Bishop of the Diocese of Buea with seminarians of the Diocese opened today, July 1st, 2024, and was presided over by His Lordship Michael Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea. The opening conference took place in the Bishop’s conference hall in Small Soppo, during which the Prelate welcomed seminarians and encouraged them in this vocation journey.
The aim of the annual assembly, which runs until the 4th of July 2024, is to evaluate the seminarians on the four pillars of formation: the pastoral, human, intellectual, and spiritual formation.
During the opening session, positive feedback was recorded from the seminarians who voiced their trust in the Bishops for the provision of their varied needs .
Nevertheless, these seminarians also highlighted a few challenges in the areas of transportation and the consistency of electricity in their specific formation houses. While noting these, the Local Ordinary also reminded them that such challenges get them reast for the ministry, which lies ahead of them.
