On March 30, 2026, the Diocese of Buea journeyed deeper into the heart of Holy Week as Bishop Michael Bibi gathered the faithful at Saint Charles Lwanga Parish, Molyko, for a profound spiritual encounter. Serving as the Chief Shepherd of the diocese, Bishop Bibi delivered a timely and insightful catechesis centered on “Holy Week: Understanding the Triduum,” where he shed light on the theological and spiritual significance of this pivotal period in the liturgical calendar.

During his address, the Bishop called upon the Christian community to intensify their prayer lives and seek the face of God with sincerity, urging everyone to ask for forgiveness and commit to a genuine departure from sin to fully receive the graces of the season. He further challenged the faithful to maintain a spirit of steadfastness when facing the various temptations of life, encouraging them to remain resilient even in the midst of oppression, personal troubles, and trials.

By focusing on the Easter Triduum—the sacred three-day span from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday—Bishop Bibi invited the faithful to walk intimately with Christ through the narrative of his passion, death, and resurrection. His teaching underscored that by embracing this spiritual journey, believers could encounter the depth of Christ’s love and the promise of redemption in a more personal and transformative way.
