Bishop Michael Bibi Inspects Ongoing Directorate of Communication Building Project
With communication playing an increasingly important role in advancing the pastoral mission of the Church, the Diocese of Buea continues to strengthen its communication structures to better serve the faithful and the wider community. In this regard, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, today, Monday, August 10, 2026, visited the Directorate of Communication building of the Diocese of Buea to assess the progress of the ongoing project.

The Prelate visited the ultramodern structure, strategically located opposite the Delegation of Education in Buea, to have a firsthand view of the project and assess its growth and steady progress. Accompanying Bishop Bibi during the visit were members of the Directorate of Communication, who joined him in assessing the work carried out so far. The three-storey structure is currently at the tiling and finishing stage as it gradually approaches completion.

Once completed, the edifice will bring together the various arms of the Directorate of Communication, including DMRTV, the Directorate’s main office, the bookshop, the printing press, and Cameroon Panorama.

The centralized facility is expected to enhance synergy among the different communication units, improve coordination and productivity, and strengthen the Directorate’s capacity to achieve its communication, evangelization, and pastoral objectives.
