
The Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, is currently in Charlotte on a visit to priests of the Diocese of Buea serving in the United States.
As part of the visit, the Chief Shepherd on Tuesday, 26th May 2026, held a fraternal meeting with Bishop Michael Martin’s and priests of the Diocese of Buea working in Charlotte.
Speaking during the meeting, Bishop Michael Martin’s expressed deep satisfaction with the longstanding partnership relationship between the Diocese of Charlotte and the Diocese of Buea. He highly appreciated the dedication, commitment, and pastoral service being rendered by Buea diocesan priests in Charlotte and encouraged them to continue serving the people of God with zeal and fidelity.

Bishop Michael Bibi, on his part, thanked Bishop Michael Martin’s for the confidence and trust placed in the priests of the Diocese of Buea. He equally expressed profound gratitude for the support and collaboration extended to the Diocese of Buea over the years through the fruitful partnership existing between the two local Churches.
In a spirit of fraternity and ecclesial communion, Bishop Michael Bibi extended an invitation to Bishop Michael Martin to pay a pastoral visit to the Diocese of Buea next year. The invitation, he noted, would further strengthen the bonds of friendship and missionary cooperation between the two dioceses.
The partnership between the “two Michaels” continues to stand as a providential and inspiring collaboration dedicated to evangelization and the service of God’s people
