
The Bishops of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province convened for their annual end-of-semester review with Formators and Rectors of Major Seminaries on February 3rd, 2026, at the Episcopal Conference Centre, Bamenda. This meeting aimed to foster, strengthen, and evaluate the quality of formation in the Province, following the faculty examinations conducted in the Theologicum.

The session, chaired by the Vice President of BAPEC and Bishop of Buea, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi, focused on reviewing the minutes of the BAPEC Plenary Session of August 2025. Key resolutions regarding the formation of candidates to the priesthood were discussed, emphasizing the importance of authentic and holistic formation.

FORMATORS DURING MEETING SESSION.
In his remarks, Fr. Charles Sengkah, Rector of St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary Bambui, stressed that seminaries should foster affective maturity, scholarly depth, and rigorous academic excellence, enabling seminarians to become future Priests who can effectively evangelize and gain souls for Christ.

The Bishops and formators expressed their desire for the Holy Spirit to guide the seminarians of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province, that they may become saints and scholars after the heart of Christ.
