Bishop Bibi Meets Buea Bike Riders: A Meeting of Hearts
On January 14th, 2026, Bishop Michael Bibi, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, met with 17 representatives of bike riders from across the Buea municipality. The gathering aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of these riders to the community, particularly in transportation.

Through their union, SYNAMOTAC, the Bishop expressed the Church’s desire to support their spiritual growth and address their daily challenges. “Your work is vital to our society,” he said. “We want to walk with you, care for your spiritual needs, and help tackle obstacles hindering your operations.”

The meeting with Bishop Michael Bibi was a changer! Not only did it acknowledge the bike riders’ efforts, but it also served as a planning session for an upcoming mass and a session on to boost the community’s perception of bike riders.
The bike riders, touched by the gesture, welcomed the Church’s outreach. This meeting marks a new chapter in the Diocese’s engagement with Buea’s bike community.
