Tuesday, January 13, 2026, was a moment of joy, thanksgiving, and appreciation at the Bishop’s House in Small Soppo as teachers and pupils from Regina Pacis Nursery and Primary School and St. Mary’s Nursery and Primary School, Sasse, received books and didactic materials from the Bishop of Buea, His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi.
Welcoming the beneficiaries, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea and Proprietor of Catholic schools explained that the gesture was inspired by his firm desire to support teaching and learning, ensuring that pupils and teachers have the basic educational tools they need for academic growth and success. He highlighted the Church’s commitment to quality education rooted in faith, discipline, and moral formation.
Head teachers of both institutions expressed deep gratitude to the Bishop, noting that the donated materials will significantly improve classroom instruction and ease the teaching and learning process. They stated that the support will motivate both teachers and pupils to work harder and achieve better results.

The beneficiaries echoed the popular saying that “when you train a child, you train a nation,” adding that the donation will contribute to forming disciplined, responsible, and God-fearing future leaders.
The Diocese of Buea continues to promote holistic education by supporting institutions that nurture children intellectually, morally, and spiritually. Through gestures such as this, Bishop Bibi reaffirms the Church’s mission of shaping young minds and hearts for God and society.
