The Bishop of Buea, Most Rev. Michael Miabesue Bibi, made an unannounced pastoral visit to St. Thérèse Primary School, Wotutu, one of the most populated Catholic primary schools in the area. The visit, which took place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, offered the Bishop an opportunity to obtain firsthand information on the ongoing construction of modern classrooms designed to better accommodate the growing number of pupils.

During his brief stop, Bishop Bibi visited several classrooms where teaching was in progress, interacted with teachers and pupils, and later met with the technicians working on the construction project. He assured the staff and learners that every effort is being made to ensure that the new classrooms, some of which have been affected by the persistent rains will be completed in the coming weeks.

The Proprietor expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Head Teacher and her entire team for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining high academic and moral standards. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their mission of serving God through the Church’s work of evangelization, particularly in the field of education.

At the end of the visit, Bishop Bibi imparted his blessings upon the staff and pupils and joined them for a family photograph, marking yet another sign of his pastoral closeness and commitment to the educational apostolate of the Diocese of Buea.
