In a major effort to improve student welfare in the Buea Municipality, His Lordship Michael Bibi, Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea, is leading the development of a modern CUIB hostel near the Sts. Peter and Paul University Parish. This initiative aims to provide quality accommodation for CUIB students and others in the academic community.
On September 25th, 2025, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea visited the CUIB hostel construction site, accompanied by key collaborators, to assess the project’s progress. Now nearing completion, the impressive facility boasts 54 well-designed rooms. From the elegant tiling and refined plastering to the modern bathroom fittings and overall aesthetic finish, every detail reflects the Diocese’s commitment to excellence and its dedication to creating a high-quality, comfortable living space for students.

It is worth noting that the hostels are also intended to serve as a sustainable source of income for the Diocese of Buea, supporting its broader mission and development initiatives.
As this project nears completion, it promises to set a new standard for accommodation in Buea
