During the solemn service at Regina Pacis Cathedral, His Lordship Michael Bibi urged Christians to embrace their own crosses and refrain from acts of betrayal. He emphasized the importance of the cross in Christian faith, encouraging believers to surrender their will to God and unite their personal struggles—be it illness, financial difficulties, or family discord—with that of Christ to achieve victory.

Christians called to shun betrayal
Bishop Bibi also called for a rejection of betrayal, likening it to Judas’s betrayal of Jesus, and emphasized the importance of love in all actions.
The liturgical service featured the reading of the Passion narrative, prayers, and the veneration of the cross. The veneration of the Cross is a solemn acknowledgment of the suffering, sacrifice, and the love Christ demonstrated through His death for humanity’s sins.

The Cross, once a symbol of shame and execution, is transformed into a symbol of redemption and salvation. By venerating the Cross, Christians expressed their gratitude for the salvation that they believe is made possible through Jesus’s sacrifice.
Good Friday serves as a poignant reminder of Christ’s sacrifice, highlighting the paschal mystery of his passion, death, and resurrection while paving the way for the joyous celebration of Easter
