During a pastoral visit to the Saint Jude Thaddeus Parish in Dibanda Mile 14 on April 6, 2025, His Lordship Michael Bibi urged the congregation to collaborate and share ideas for enhancing evangelization efforts within their community. In his address to the faithful, he emphasized God’s profound love for His children and the essential role of mercy and forgiveness in Christian life.

Bishop Bibi acknowledged humanity’s ongoing struggles with temptation and sin but reassured the congregation that God provides a pathway for reconciliation. He encouraged parishioners to first seek internal reconciliation within themselves before attempting to correct others or pass judgment. “Our journey of faith requires us to cultivate love for one another and to extend compassion towards those around us,” he stated.

In a significant announcement for the parish, Bishop Bibi pledged to install the Blessed Sacrament in the church tabernacle before the end of the calendar year. This installation will not only enhance the spiritual life of the parish by providing a space for adoration but will also allow the community to offer the Blessed Sacrament to those who cannot attend church due to illness.
With this commitment, the bishop reaffirmed the church’s role as a beacon of hope, support, and healing within the local community.

During the visit, the vice chairlady of the parish pastoral council expressed gratitude to the Chief Shepherd on behalf of the parish, highlighting the tremendous growth of the four vibrant Christian communities within the parish. She appealed to His Lordship to support the acquisition of additional land for the parish, which she described as a “parish of light, faith, and hope.”

Following the Eucharistic celebration, Bishop Bibi visited the parish school, which is currently facing challenges due to inadequate infrastructure and security concerns. Plans are underway to improve the school facilities to ensure a conducive learning environment for pupils.
