His Excellency Louis-Paul Motazé, current Minister of Finance for Cameroon, has paid a courtesy visit to Bishop Michael Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea, during his stay in the Southwest Region for the ceremony to open operations on the State Budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
On this 15th day of January 2025, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese Bishop Michael Bibi welcomed HE Louis Paul Motazé in the Bishop’s House in Small Soppo, Buea where they exchanged New Year salutations and had a friendly conversation on the happenings in the Diocese of Buea which has been massively supported over the years by the Finance Minister through the roofing of the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral and tax exonerations amongst others.
After sharing a common meal with his friend and brother as the minister referred to the Bishop of Buea, HE Louis Paul Motazé, with his entourage, moved to the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral in Molyko-Buea where he had a feel of the esthetic house of God, newly dedicated in the presence of the Bishops of Cameroon.
Amazed by the works of the Local Ordinary Michael Bibi, the Minister, with an expression of satisfaction, walked through the Co-Cathedral admiring and receiving blessings from Christ present in the Eucharist .
Following his visit to the Co-Cathedral, the Minister, alongside the Chief Shepherd Michael Bibi, made a final stop at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre, where he launched the budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year in the Aunty Kate Banquet Hall.
