Friday August 2nd, 2024, a six-man delegation from SOWEDA and its partners from ITALY; VICEF, paid a visit to the Bishop of Buea and Chancellor of CUIB His Lordship Michael Bibi to chart ways of collaboration with the Catholic University Institute of Buea, in the training of students in the field of agriculture.

The board chair of SOWEDA Mr. Herbert Ediage in a detailed presentation to the Local Ordinary, highlighted that the goal of SOWEDA and VICEC is to partner with the Catholic university institute of Buea in an Agro project meant aimed at boosting the production of milk in Cameroon, creating at least 1000 jobs for youths and women.

The partnership with CUIB would be focused on exchange knowledge and visits and the training students in Italy, and providing them with jobs in the company which is projected to be housed in Tombel and further spread out within the national territory. The team noted that CUIB was selected alongside the University of Buea for this project because of its provision of standard education to the youths.

His Lordship Michael Bibi, while welcoming the entourage, appreciated the team of experts for identifying the needs of the country and for mapping out timely solutions for the good of the nation. He assured them of his blessings collaboration as they work closely with the President of CUIB and his team.
