The National Bureau of the Precious Blood of Jesus made their presence felt at the Bishop’s house in small Soppo, Buea, on Tuesday, February 13th, for special New Year wishes to the local ordinary Michael Bibi. This visit according to the National Server Mr. Columbus Fonjock was one significant to the Apostolate as it provided them with the opportunity to hail the efforts of bishop Michael Bibi in the diocese of Buea, to thank him for his dedication to his ministry which is evident in the accomplishments of the Diocese and to pray with him as the new year 2024 begins.
Praying with the chief shepherd, the members asked for God’s protection on him and for peace to continuously reign in his heart. “we Pray that the peace of Christ will dwell in your heart , will strengthen you even through the most difficult times that you go through and that the blood of Jesus will always cover you wherever you place your feet. And no harm shall befall you”.
These words of prayer was accompanied by the handing over of a special gift to the prelate…the image of the precious blood of Jesus.
Recognizing the huge task ahead of the Diocese come 2025 during which the Diocese shall be hosting many events including the 48th national Episcopal Conference, of the Bishops of Cameroon , these members offered a financial support to the chief shepherd for the ongoing construction at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre which will serve as host environment for the Bishops and other Pastoral events.
Representing the national chaplain, Reverend Fr. Francis Ncham, diocesan Chaplain of the precious blood of Jesus Apostolate , delivered words of encouragement and prayers from the national chaplain and reassured the Bishop of their special prayers for him especially as the Lenten season begins.
In response to this gesture by the precious blood Apostolate, Bishop Michael Bibi thanked these members for their prayers and for their support to the works of the pastoral Center. He equally assured them of his collaboration and prayers as they departed from his residence.
