Staff of the different diocesan services gathered at the Co-cathedral this Thursday October 12, 2023, to thank God for the gift of life and service to the Diocese of Buea. In a Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese Bishop Michael Bibi, these Christians were challenged to be prayerful at all times as a family and to exercise perseverance in prayers.
During this Mass celebrated in gratitude to God for the blessings received by the staff and volunteers of the different services and parishes in the Diocese of Buea, the Prelate expressed appreciation to these workers for their endless sacrifices and commitment in rendering different services to the Diocese; a part of evangelization.
The Bishop urged the workers not to relent their efforts in what they do so that together, the dreams of the Diocese will come to fruition.
Bearing in mind the challenges and difficulties that may exist at their different spheres of work, Bishop Michael Bibi reminded these workers that before they pray, God knows already their minds but nevertheless God desires their prayers as a reassurance of the love and trust they have in God. He further advised them to build an attitude of prayers at the level of the different services and to pray together as members of one family.
On behalf of the Chair of the Laity Council, Mr. Pierre Ernest Tchinda; director of CARITAS Buea Diocese, thanked the Chief Shepherd for this maiden initiative which gave this community the opportunity to commune as a family.
The celebration witnessed a working session with the workers at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre during which workers expressed their concerns and had clarifications from the Chief shepherd of the Diocese.
