The assembly brings together a high-level delegation of Diocesan Directors of Communication, their assistants, media delegates from religious congregations, and managers of prominent Catholic media outlets from across the nation.

This year’s Council is held under the timely and compelling theme: “Preserving Human Voices and Faces.” The proceedings are presided over by His Lordship Michael Bibi, Bishop of Buea and President of the Episcopal Commission for Social Communications.

Opening the working sessions with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, His Lordship Michael Bibi prayed for a fruit-bearing assembly, expressing his hope that these days of deliberation would serve to significantly strengthen the National Catholic Communication Network.
A central pillar of the seminar is the specialized training designed for Diocesan Directors of Communication which focuses on promoting fully human and missionary communication in a context marked by the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

Organized by NECC through the National Coordination of Catholic Communication (CONACOM), the seminar is a week-long intensive event running from February 23rd to 27th, 2026.
