Most Rev. Sosthene Léopold Bayemi Matjei, President of the Episcopal Commission of Communication has been telling the over 35 Catholic Communicators attending this year’s seminar that they must collaborate and work together to promote a culture of peace especially at a time when there is a great need for Cameroonians to accept to live together.
“If our Catholic media organs are put at the service of the gospel, they will go a long way to increase the areas wherein the word of God is heard”, the prelate insisted.
Participants at this year’s seminar include the President of the Episcopal Commission of Communication, Bishop Sosthene Bayemi, the National Coordinator Fr. Gilbert Pali and his assistant, Fr. Tatah Mbuy, diocesan directors of Communication and their collaborators as well as heads of national Catholic Communication structures, delegates from religious congregations and audio-visual technicians, who will be trained on media production techniques such as video editing, audio processing, word processing and news writing.
The seminar that runs from Tuesday, February 20 to Saturday February 24, is holding under the theme “Catholic communicators and the promotion of social peace”.
